The Kutchi Soomra Jamat was registered on 20th July 1961 as Cuthei Sumra Jamat under the Society Registration Act, 1860 (KAR No. 139 of 1961-1962) and changed its name on 9th September 2018.
Our objective is to improve and facilitate the interrelationship and to promote coordination among community members concerned with social welfare programs and services.
According to different traditions and historical facts, the Soomra Community ruled Sindh in two different periods for about 482 years. The Sumerian people have been soft-hearted, kind-hearted and have a sense of belonging to the lower class in society.
Operating three community centers in Karachi providing facilities for events, meetings, and community gatherings.
Transparent distribution of Zakat funds to deserving community members according to Islamic principles.
Providing legal aid and mediation services through our Legal Aid Committee with experienced advocates.
Scholarships and financial assistance for students from the community pursuing education.
Guidance and support for marriage arrangements according to our Family Laws and Islamic principles.
Organizing cultural and religious events to preserve our heritage and strengthen community bonds.
